Winter still hold on most of the country, not very good camping weather but it’s a great time to check out the trade shows.  There are lots of  RV and camping shows during this season will taking place around the country. Netball Association invites players for camping activities

On Feb. 18, the Netball Association of Ghana was invited to participate for camping at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex in Kaneshie, Accra to prepare towards an Africa Youth Netball Tournament for the Namibian Capital, Windhoek this coming April.

The purpose of this camping from February 27 to March 7 which have to choose players would be pruned down to a final list of 14, form the nucleus of the national team called the Yound Maidens.

Chairman of the Association Reverend Emmanuel D. Nikoi said the players were selected from the National Teacher Training Colleges Sports Festival in Tamale, the National Basic Schools Sports Festival in Cape Coast and the National Netball Tournament in Kumasi.

The invited players such as Hamida Abdallah, Rebecca Zanore, Vida Sapomah, and Doris Whyte all of them the Ghana Education Service (GES), Central Region, Rachel Nettey, Victoria Amoah, Eunice Sackey and Rebecca Ashong of the GES, Greater Accra Region.

The other players are:
* Elizabeth Ankrah of Kaneshie Secondary Technical School, Accra

* Jennifer Tettey of Ningo Senior High School, Old Ningo

* Charity Agbozalu and Grace Tekper of GES, Eastern Region.

The rest are:
* Delphine Hugbenke of Mount Mary College of Education

* Florence Manu of Saint Louis College of Education

* Kumasi, Amina Braimah, GES, Western Region, Priscilla Agbetsame of GES, Greater Accra Region.

Angela Boateng of Greater Accra Region, Alimo Forgive, Kannor Ruth, Ernestina Tetewayo and Kisi Akor all of Dangme East GES at Ada in the Greater Accra Region complete the list of invited players. Rev. Nikoi called on District Sports Organisers to ensure that they inform players invited from the areas to endeavour to report at the Kaneshie Azumah Nelson Sports Complex on 27th February at 6 p.m without fail.

Children’s Camping in Jagang Province

For this year, the first term camping began at the Jangjasan Children’s located in Jagang Province with due ceremony on the occasion of the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

All the campers are from different parts of the country will learn from the boyhood of Kim Jong Il and consolidate on what they have learned. Train their bodies and minds through different through different activities such as sports and cultural during the camping.

In the ceremony spoke of the joy, the reporter and speakers having an opportunity to spend pleasant camping days at the camp which had turned into excellent centre for school children’s, thanks to the great care of Kim Jong Il.

The ceremony was followed by a march past of campers and art performances given by teachers of the camp.
