Trees fall on someone on Camping at Oswald West State Park
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department says it prefer to close or ban on camping at Oswald West State Park north of Manzanita, but they are waiting from the public before making a final decision. They wants to hear from Public the decision.
The collapse of a giant spruce prompted to close the state campground last summer.
Park managers and natural resource specialists studied the campground during the winter, determined another almost 49 trees could fall on someone in the state.
The department decided to reopen the campground once it can cut the aging trees. Leave the trees alone and allow only day hikes in the area.
The comments is acceptable via online about the campground and until 31 of March, said The Parks and Recreation department.
