Plenty of tickets for Cash and Camping Lottery

The Annual Cash and Camping Lottery still has plenty of tickets for the events and one week left before the event draw, the organizers are hoping to draw in the sad event schedule. The Annual Cash and Camping Lottery is operated by the Swan City Rotary Club, the lottery raises thousands of dollars every year for the partner groups supported by the Rotary Club.

The draw will be announce and held on Canada Day (July 1st) and so far the lottery tickets has sold around 62 percent (%) compared last year event it was 75%, said Chantale Doucette-Chalifoux, the event’s manager.

“The gap of unsold tickets is growing and growing every day, so we’re getting nervous,” she said.

Cash and Camping Lottery Tickets has total of 35,000 printed but only it has only 13K or 13,000 possible buyers because single purchase at $50 each only 2,000 tickets are available with the remaining 33,000 tied up in packages of three tickets for $100.

The prizes to be given away are fifth-wheel trailers, ATV machines, a hot tub, a Ford Ranger pickup and other kind of vehicle such as motorbike. The main prize for the Cash and Camping Lottery is a Tioga Motorhome and Larson boack package valued at $134,000.

Some of the participating charity and non-profit groups this year are include the Hythe Pioneer Lodge, Grande Spirit Foundation, the YMCA, the Friends for the Public Library, Pregnant and Parenting Teens Society and more. If the lottery sells out, it will be worth as much around $150,000 to $180,000 to the Rotary Club to distribute to other groups in the region plus the direct funding to partners.

Prizes are there and can be seen and tickets can be purchased at the Cash and Camping dome in the parking lot of Gateway next to the Cineplax theatre. Tickets can also be found at Shopper’s Drug Mart in the Prairie Mall, Al’s News, Ernie’s Sports and Staples.

The draw will take place at 4 p.m. Canada Day (July 1) at the lottery’s dome.
