Camping with Luxury: Cabin can be rented for $80 a night

Holland State Park offer cabin for rent $80 a night. Camping with a few more luxuries. Holland State Park Officials are saying about the new whitetail Cabin has opened within the park boundaries. It has been constructed on a small bluff for less than $10,000, the 3 bedroom cabin that can sleep 3 has a view of the Holland Big Red and Channel.

During the prime season it will costs $80 a night to rent, $60 during winter.

Features of Cabin:
* In Main Room
- Refrigerator
- Microwave
- Coffee pot
- Electric Heat
- 1 bedroom has bunk beds only
- the other has bunk beds and a larger bed.

* Outside the Cabin
- Deck
- 2 picnic tables
- a grill
- fire circle

Joyce Rhodes, park supervisor said in a statement “We are very excited about our new camper cabin. This is an opportunity for those who have never tried camping before to stay at Holland State Park without the investment into camping gear.”

Rhodes said she’s wanted to get a cabin at the park for the past 10 years. It will be a good way to increase revenue for the state park system, which has suffered cuts over the years. The cabin of Holland State Park was collaborated between the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Correction’s Prison Build Program.

The foundation and the structure for a second cabin is in place will arrive in November, Rhodes said. Ready for use in the spring. During warmer months for those who stay in the cabins can access modern restroom and showers. In winter months, a vault toilet is available and water can be obtained from the park headquarters.

Those who want to visit, bring sleeping bags, pillows and cooking utensils, Rhodes said.
