Fire destroys camping trailer
In Eagle Point Campground, a camping trailer sparked a fire and destroyed with an electronic malfunction before 2 p.m Monday. No one inside the trailer. The trailer owned by Stacey Hampton of Lucas, when the blaze started. Mike Clinage, a Mifflin fire Chief, he estimated damage to the 1983 trailer at $12,000 to $15,000.
During the fire come out, neighbors alerted the fire department. Clinage said “flames were coming out of the roof when we pulled up”. The trailer was far enough from other object, nothing else was damage.
Camp park rangers called the owner to let them know about the incidents of the fire. Stacey Hampton (owner) told firefighters that shed didn’t have many personal items inside, she felt upsed because the trailer wasn’t insured.
